Sharon Hornbeck
Sharon has had the privilege to teach in a variety of settings. Women’s Bible studies have been the predominant arena that she has taught in and she has a special desire to help women get to know their God.
Retreats are of special significance to Sharon as she believes that God loves to meet His children in unique ways when we set aside specific time to be with Him. Sharon has taught on several different topics which are listed in this brochure.
Sharon has also taught groups of women at Mother’s Day Luncheons, Workshops, Holiday Celebrations, Prayer Breakfasts and other similar settings. Topics have included: Spiritual Disciplines, Prayer, Fasting, Holiday Priorities, Worship, and more.

“I distinctly remember praying to ask Jesus to be my Savior when I was five years old. My mother led me to the Lord as we said a little prayer in the kitchen of our house on the Oregon coast. We attended services at a little country church run by the American Sunday School Union. Three years later, I was baptized in the Smith River.
When I was nine years old, the Lord called me to be a pastor’s wife! While I was young to have such a specific call, I knew in my heart that it was true. That call on my life was always in the back of my mind. When I met my husband-to-be at the age of seventeen, I knew he was God’s choice for me. You see, not only did I fall in love with him, but the fact that he was headed into the ministry assured me of God’s will for my life. We have been married for over 28 years, have produced four of the most wonderful children in the world, and have pastored in three different congregations since 1980. Currently, we pastor a small church in Flagstaff, Arizona.
The Word of God has been the foundation of my walk with Him. I have hungered and thirsted after His Word all of my Christian life so that I can truly say, “Thy words were found and I ate them, and Thy words became for me the joy and the delight of my heart.” (Jer.15:16) I have a passion for the things of the Lord and I know that comes from my knowledge of who He is, based upon my study of the Word. I have an unwavering commitment to teach from the Word and yet make the truth of scripture applicable to daily life.
One thing I know for sure, God has been faithful and true to me all of my life. While life has not always been easy, I have seen His faithful hand on me throughout the years. What a privilege to be called His child and be given the awesome task of ministering His kingdom to others!”
“I appreciated the prayer and time that went into what God had to say to us. Sharon’s presentation was easy to listen to and presented interestingly.”
“All of the sessions were really good and I especially liked the way Sharon used so much scripture.”
“Wonderful wake up and warning for me. Really prepared me for devotional time. Sharon said, ‘Only the One who made my heart can meet my heart’s needs.’ That impacted me and made me realize that I wasn’t turning to the Lord.”
“Excellent message. Sharon was right on the money! The Holy Spirit was definitely present.”
“I loved how Sharon referred to so many scriptures. She would make a statement and then show us in the Word, several passages. Her message was obviously rooted in scripture.”
“What Sharon had to say changed my whole life. I have a different perspective on life and on who I am. Thank you!”
